Precisely because the cause of knee complaints often does not lie solely in the knee itself, osteopathy is a valuable complement to physiotherapy. <\/p><p>Especially with joint problems in the knee, I can often make a significant difference. Using targeted manual techniques, I correct the movement of the knee so that the natural function of the joint is restored. This is often effective for arthritis, meniscus injuries, or cruciate ligament problems. When one of these joints does not function properly, the knee often has to compensate. As a result, the joint becomes overloaded or moves differently. Often something goes wrong in the position or the sliding mechanism of the femur in relation to the tibia. By correcting this in a targeted manner, for example with a slight rotational movement, pain relief often occurs immediately. The nervous system then recognizes that the movement is &#8216;correct&#8217; again and releases the muscle and joint tension.   <\/p><p>Even with meniscus problems or a worn knee (osteoarthritis), osteopathy can still do a lot. Wear does not automatically have to cause pain. Many people have signs of osteoarthritis in the knee, but experience no complaints. Even long-standing issues can sometimes improve rapidly.  With the right stimulus, you will often notice a noticeable improvement in movement and pain level after just one treatment.
