osteopathy for
Pelvic Complaints
Who is the treatment suitable for?
Do you suffer from pelvic complaints after a fall, a misstep, or a wrong movement? Or are you experiencing complaints during or after pregnancy? If recovery is slow, it is certainly worth making an appointment.
The pelvis forms a central point in the body and is connected to many other structures, such as the back, hips, and legs. This is precisely why the holistic approach of osteopathy fits in well here. Where regular therapies sometimes have insufficient effect, osteopathy can often make a difference.
Pelvic complaints as part of a chain
Because the pelvis plays such a central role, a problem here can have consequences for the entire body. Tension around the abdominal organs (such as the intestines or uterus), but also complaints in the feet, hips, or lower back can influence the functioning of the pelvis. It is precisely this connection that is often the key to finding the cause of the complaint and permanently resolving it.
In the case of pelvic complaints during pregnancy, it often appears that there is not so much “instability” as increased muscle tension due to a dysfunction of the pelvic joint. I trace the underlying cause and treat the regions that unbalance the pelvis.
fall on the pelvis
A fall on the pelvis can lead to a blockage, in which the pelvis tilts forward and upward. This disrupts the movement chain and causes tension in the body.
By correcting the pelvis, that tension is often immediately reduced. After the first treatment, a difference is usually noticeable; in many cases, the complaints disappear within two to four sessions.
Pelvic complaints in children
Blockages also regularly occur in children after a fall on the buttocks. The tension can then spread to the spine, neck, or legs. Early treatment helps to prevent complaints and compensation elsewhere in the body.
The 4xT method for pelvic complaints
One of the methods I often use is the 4xT method. This focuses on restoring the position and mobility of the pelvis via the connective tissue. The body reacts directly to subtle corrections: muscles release on their own and balance is restored.
This method is very effective for both pelvic complaints after a fall and pregnancy-related complaints.
What can you expect from the treatment?
Even with long-term pelvic complaints, I often achieve good results. With the right stimulus, you will often notice an improvement in posture, movement, and pain level after just one treatment. As soon as the pelvic joints move well again and are in the correct position — without negative influence from other parts of the body — recovery can start quickly.
do not let pelvic complaints determine your daily life
Even if you have already tried a lot, there is often still something to be gained as soon as the body receives the right stimulus.
